Version history

Zinkly Social 1.3 - released 21 October 2026 - is our biggest update so far: Business Pages, Channels, a revamped Messages area, end-to-end encrypted private chats, a new sidebar and feed, and a brand-new clean installation package. The download "Zinkly - Social Network.zip" contains: - Zinkly/ : the complete website for a new installation (version 1.3). Upload it, point your domain to the public folder and the web installer sets up your database, security key, site name, logo and admin account. - Update/ : for existing sites - 1.0 to 1.1, 1.1 to 1.2 and 1.2 to 1.3. Install them in order from AdminCP > System > Updates. - README.txt : requirements and step-by-step installation.

Zinkly Social 1.2 is our biggest step yet. Stories get a full-screen Studio with music, Live becomes a real studio with donations and saved lives, and ZinklyAI now creates and edits images, understands photos and searches the web. Creators can earn with paid Memberships, everyone gets Watch, Courses, Jobs and a public Requests board, and AdminCP was rebuilt from the ground up with Feature Switches for everything. Photo posts come to life with Classic, Columns and Frame layouts, the apps are fully native, and light mode is finally easy on the eyes everywhere. And much more! Most new features ship switched off — turn them on in AdminCP > System > Feature Switches. The apps follow the same switches. How to update: • Existing sites (1.0.0, 1.0.1, 1.1): upload zinkly-social-update-1.2.zip in AdminCP > Updates, then Review and Install. Replace the two updater files in "Step 1" first (needed once). • New installs: use zinkly-social.zip and follow the installer.

Zinkly Social 1.1: Moving forward to make our Community more… Community! This update brings a new security system to keep your account safe and ZinklyAI, your AI assistant, which now always gives full answers. A privacy policy that covers every country keeps you protected wherever you are, and your account information now stays fully private. You can pay by card with Stripe, buy Zinkly Coins packs, and enjoy a fresh new chat where you can see who reacted and jump to replied messages. We also fixed a critical issue with light mode (our eyes were still burning :( ), so colored posts, reposts and the chat popup are easy to read again. Notification popups no longer show up every time you log in. And more!
