Terms

Last updated: 28 October 2026

These terms apply when you use Zinkly Shop and when you buy, download or get any item here. Please read them, especially section 6 (Refunds). Nothing in these terms takes away the rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country you live in.

1. Who we are

Zinkly Shop is run by Zinkly, Corfu 49100, Greece. Contact us at support@zinkly.org.

Zinkly Shop is a marketplace. Items are made, published and supported by independent creators. We run the shop, take the payment and handle refunds. Each item's creator is responsible for what the item does, its updates and its support.

2. Your account

  • You need an account to buy. Keep your login safe; you are responsible for what happens in your account.
  • Give true information. We may suspend accounts used for fraud, chargeback abuse, sharing licences or breaking these terms.
  • You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live (in most countries 18), or have a parent's or guardian's permission.

3. Prices and payment

  • The shop's main currency is the euro (EUR). All prices, payments, refunds, creator earnings and payouts are in EUR. Prices include VAT where VAT applies, and the total you pay is shown before you confirm.
  • If your card or PayPal account uses another currency, your bank or PayPal converts the amount and may charge its own conversion fee. Refunds are made in EUR, so the amount you get back in your own currency can differ slightly because of exchange rates. We do not control these fees or rates.
  • You can pay by card, PayPal or Zinkly Coins. Payments are handled by the payment provider; we do not store full card details.
  • Your order is confirmed when the payment is confirmed, and we send you a confirmation.

4. Licences

  • When you buy an item you get a licence to use it, not ownership of it. The licence type you chose (for example "Regular licence") is shown on the item page, in your order and with your licence key.
  • You may not resell, share, publish or redistribute the item or your licence key, unless the item's licence says so.
  • Updates are included as described on the item page. Support is given by the creator for the period shown on the item page.
  • A refund or chargeback ends the licence, and access to the item and its downloads is removed.

5. Delivery of digital items and your right of withdrawal

Digital items are made available in My downloads right after payment.

If you live in the EU or the UK you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. For digital content this right ends once delivery starts, but only if you agree to that. At checkout you are asked to agree that delivery starts immediately and to confirm that you understand you then lose the 14-day right of withdrawal. We confirm this in your order confirmation.

Even so, we offer the voluntary refunds in section 6, and your rights for faulty items (section 6.4) always stay.

Physical items (if any) follow the normal 14-day withdrawal right from the day you receive them; return costs are yours unless the item is faulty or wrong.

6. Refunds

6.1 Bought but not downloaded — 7 days

If you have not downloaded an item, you can ask for a full refund within 7 days of purchase. No reason is needed.

6.2 Bought twice by mistake — 7 days

If you bought the same item twice (duplicate purchase), you can ask for a refund of the extra purchase within 7 days, even if you downloaded it.

6.3 Downloaded items

Once an item has been downloaded it cannot be refunded because you changed your mind, no longer need it, bought it by mistake, or it does not suit a purpose that is not described on the item page. The only exception is an item that does not work as described (see 6.4).

6.4 Broken, wrong or not as described

If an item does not work, is the wrong file or version, is missing parts, or is not as described on its page:

  • Report it within 3 days of purchase for a fast refund. If we and the creator confirm the problem and it is not fixed quickly, you get a full refund.
  • After 3 days the fast refund ends. You can still report the problem: the creator must first try to fix it (for example with a patch or a corrected file) within a reasonable time and without cost to you. If it cannot be fixed, is not fixed within a reasonable time, or the problem is serious, you are entitled to a price reduction or a full refund. This follows EU and UK consumer law and is not limited by the 3-day period.

To check a problem we need your help. Please send:

  • A clear description of the problem and the steps to make it happen.
  • Screenshots, and if possible a screen recording showing the bug — this is the fastest way to a fix or refund.
  • Your setup: the item version, the platform and its version (for example Sngine or Zinkly version), PHP version, browser, and any error messages or logs.
  • Your order number.

We may ask for reasonable access or more details to reproduce the problem. If you do not give the information we reasonably need, we may not be able to confirm the problem.

6.5 When the creator does not help: ask the shop

Items are made by independent creators, not by Zinkly. Even so, you can ask the shop administrator (Zinkly) directly for a refund, instead of the creator, when:

  • the item is broken or not as described (see 6.4) and the creator does not fix it within a reasonable time; or
  • the creator does not answer your support request within 5 working days, or refuses to communicate or to give the support or updates promised on the item page.

Email support@zinkly.org with your order number, what is wrong and your messages with the creator (screenshots are fine). We review the case and give the creator a short time to respond. If the problem is confirmed, or the creator still does not respond, we refund you in full or in part, and the amount is taken from the creator's earnings. The rules in 6.6 (what is not a fault) still apply.

6.6 What is not a fault

  • Problems caused by changes you or someone else made to the item, or by other plugins, themes or custom code.
  • A server, hosting or platform version that does not meet the requirements listed on the item page.
  • Features that the item page does not promise.
  • Installation or customization work, unless the item page says it is included.

6.7 How to ask for a refund

Open the item's page and use Support, or email support@zinkly.org. Include your order number and, for faults, the information listed in 6.4. We answer within 3 working days.

6.8 How you are refunded

  • Refunds go back to the way you paid (card or PayPal), usually within 14 days of our decision. Payments made with Zinkly Coins are refunded as Zinkly Coins.
  • After a refund the licence ends and the item is removed from My downloads. Keeping or using a refunded item is not allowed.
  • Please contact us before opening a chargeback or PayPal dispute; it is usually faster, and accounts with abusive chargebacks may be closed.

6.9 Business buyers

If you buy for your business, the consumer rights mentioned in these terms do not apply, but the voluntary refunds in 6.1, 6.2 and the 3-day fast refund in 6.4 still do.

7. Subscriptions

  • Subscription plans (such as All in One and creator subscriptions) renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time in your account; the plan stays active until the end of the paid period.
  • Items you get through a subscription can be used while the subscription is active, as described on the plan page.
  • Download limits shown on the plan page apply.

8. Reviews, comments and your content

  • Only buyers can review an item. Reviews must be honest and about the item. No insults, spam, personal data of others or illegal content.
  • We may remove content that breaks these rules. You keep the rights to what you write; you allow us to show it on the shop.

9. Creators

Creators who sell here also agree to the seller rules shown when they apply. Creators must describe items honestly, list requirements, provide the promised updates and support, answer buyers, and fix confirmed faults.

9.1 Updates at least every 6 months

To keep items safe and working with current platform versions, every item (add-on, theme, script or app) must get at least one update every 6 months, for example a bug fix, a security fix or a compatibility update with a changelog entry. An item that has not been updated for 6 months may be marked as not maintained, shown lower in search or hidden from the shop until it is updated, and its creator receives a warning. Creators get a reminder 14 days before the deadline, and another warning every 30 days while any of their items stays without an update. Only released versions count as updates; editing the item page does not.

9.2 Warnings: three strikes

To keep the community safe, creators receive a warning when they break these terms, for example: no update for 6 months, not answering buyers or refusing support, a confirmed broken item that is not fixed, misleading item pages, or a refund the shop had to pay under 6.5.

  • We tell the creator about each warning, with the reason and what to fix.
  • After 3 warnings we may hide or remove the creator's items, stop new sales, hold earnings needed for refunds, and suspend or close the seller account.
  • Serious cases (malware, stolen code, fraud) can lead to immediate removal without earlier warnings.
  • Buyers keep access to items they already bought, unless an item is removed for safety reasons, in which case they are refunded.

10. Liability

We and the creators are responsible for items being as described and for the rights you have by law. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, for business losses of business buyers, or for damage caused by changes, other software or hosting outside our control. Back up your site before installing or updating any item. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law (for example for intent, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by negligence).

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version that applied when you bought an item applies to that purchase. We tell you about important changes.

12. Law and disputes

  • These terms are governed by Greek law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may go to the courts there.
  • Please contact us first at support@zinkly.org; most problems are solved quickly. Consumers in Greece can also contact the Consumer Ombudsman (Synigoros tou Katanaloti), and EU consumers can get help from their national European Consumer Centre.
